What is 10DLC?

10DLC (10-Digit Long Code) SMS compliance is a regulatory and technical framework established by U.S. (and Canadian) mobile carriers to ensure that SMS (Text Messages) and MMS messages sent from businesses are legitimate, responsible, and follow industry standards.

By registering your business and use-case, you are ensuring better deliverability of your messages. Numbers that are unregistered are at risk being blocked by carriers. 10DLC helps you comply with regulations like the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) in the U.S., which governs the use of SMS for marketing and communication purposes.

Does this apply to me?

These rule changes mean that all messages sent from Model Match, or any messaging platform, to a mobile number must be registered with the business that sent it. You will see us refer to the term β€œcampaign” and that can be confusing. Most refer to a campaign as a marketing term but in this instance, it covers all text messages sent from Model Match to a wireless customer. You create a campaign to identify what type of messages you are planning to send to wireless customers so that mobile carriers know who is sending the message and what that message should be about.

How will I be impacted if I don't take action?

Since all phone numbers and messages are required to be 10DLC registered you will be unable to send any text messages from Model Match after November 5th, 2024. We recommend following the steps below and register your Brand and Campaign to avoid any service disruption

Getting started with TrustHub

1. Registering your Brand

2. Check the status of your brand application

3. Submit your campaign details

4. FAQ

Register your brand

What is a brand? A brand is what connects your business's information to TCR (The Campaign Registry). To register as a brand, the campaign registry requires that you provide contact information, your entity type (for instance, you're a publicly traded, private or non-profit organization), and submit other business information. The Campaign Registry will verify your business with the mobile carriers. Model Match will attached your brand to your campaign.

🧠 You must create a brand and have it approved before sending any SMS messages through Model Match

βœ… Once your Brand has been submitted it cannot be changed. If changes are required you would need to delete the brand and start from the beginning.

πŸ’‘It may take 2 to 3 weeks for your brand application to be approved or rejected

1. Sign into Model Match, click "Settings" and click "TrustHub".

2. Now, let's give your profile a name. Enter this name into the "Friendly Business Profile Name" field. We highly recommend entering your business name into this field.

3. Enter your contact email address into the email address field and click "Start". We will use this email address to provide you updates regarding your brand application.

4. Complete the form with the requested information.

βœ… The name entered into the "Business Name" field must match exactly as it is registered. For instance, if your legal business name is listed as Model Match, Inc on your W-9 you must enter "Model Match, Inc"

βœ… All fields are required. Do not proceed without completing a step in the form or you risk your brand application being rejected!

5. Click "Next

6. Enter your business address. Again, this address must match the business address that is attached to your business.

7. Click "Next"

8. Now you can submit your application for review.

🧠 You can click the Previous button at anytime to go back to previous forms to verify the information you have entered is correct! Please be sure that all information is correct before submitting your brand for review. Once submitted, you will not be able to make changes. You will be required to delete your submission and resubmit if any changes are necessary.

How do I check the status of my brand application?

1. Log in to Model Match, click "Settings"

2. Select "TrustHub" from your list of options

3. Your brand application status will be shown at the top of TrustHub.

Once your brand application has been approved, you will be able to continue to submit your Campaign details.

βœ… You will receive updates regarding your brand application via the contact email address that you provided.

Submitting your Campaign details

How will I know my campaign has been approved?

You will receive a notification when an approval or rejection for your campaign application is received by our team.

What happens if my campaign has been rejected?

A campaign application cannot be changed. If your campaign has been rejected please review the cause of the rejection, delete your campaign and resubmit a new campaign application.

My campaign has been approved, do I need to do anything else?

If you had a number previously assigned to your account we will automatically move that number to your assigned Brand and Campaign. Otherwise, you will now be able to assign a phone number to your account and start sending text messages.

Will I be able to send text messages while I wait for my Brand or Campaign to be approved?

No, if submitting your application after November 5th, 2024 you will not be able to send text messages until both your Brand and Campaign applications have been approved.

What if I will not be submitting a new brand or campaign application after a rejection and do not intend to use text messaging?

Our team is more than happy to work with you to resolve your rejection. However, if you intend not to resubmit your application and not use text message features please delete any rejected applications from TrustHub.
