Connecting Model Match to Lovable
Add Model Match as a custom MCP connector in Lovable to pull Loan Officer, Real Estate Agent, and Company data into the app you're building.
Connect Model Match to Lovable and the agent stops working from placeholder rows — it builds against real originator, agent, and company records while it writes your app.

What the Model Match connector does
The Model Match connector is a remote MCP server that gives Lovable secure access to your Model Match workspace through the Model Context Protocol. Added as a chat connector, it gives the Lovable agent live context while it builds — separate from anything you publish.
What it reaches:
- Loan Officers and Real Estate Agents: search by market, production, and tenure, and pull contact details straight into the app you're building.
- Companies and lenders: roll up volume, look up branches, and trace where an originator sends business.
- Live market data: the same production and market activity you'd pull in Market Insights.
- Your own workspace: Lovable can act on your Model Match records, not just read them.
Every tool call runs as you, so the app you're building only ever sees data you already have access to in Model Match.
The Model Match connector (MCP server) URL
One address does the whole setup:
https://lovable.modelmatch.com/mcp
Adding the Model Match connector in Lovable
Chat connectors in Lovable are personal — connecting Model Match under your own account gives the agent this context on every project you build.
- Open Connectors → All and scroll to the Custom MCP card at the bottom.
- Click Connect your own MCP.
- For Server name, enter Model Match, and paste the server URL above into Server URL.
- Leave the authentication type on OAuth — Model Match doesn't use a bearer token or API key.
- Click Add & authorize and sign in to Model Match when prompted.
💡 If your workspace already shows Model Match under Used by others in this workspace, don't recreate the connector — connect with your own credentials instead. See the next section for why that matters.
Once you're signed in, the connector runs against your own Model Match account, and every tool call it makes respects your existing workspace roles and permissions.
How teammates connect their own access
🧠 Chat connections in Lovable are per-user, not per-workspace. If a teammate already added Model Match, you'll see it listed under Used by others in this workspace — but you still connect it yourself, with your own Model Match sign-in
That's deliberate: every tool call runs as whoever authorized it, so the data Lovable pulls always matches that person's own Model Match permissions. Nobody inherits a teammate's access by building in the same project.
Confirming the connection works
Ask the Lovable agent for something only Model Match can answer, right in the build chat:
"Search Model Match for the top loan officers in Austin, TX this year."
You should get named originators with production figures back in the chat, not a placeholder or a request to sign in. If you're prompted to authorize again, the OAuth step didn't complete — reopen Connectors → All and reconnect Model Match.
Naming Model Match in the prompt is the reliable way to route the request to the connector instead of the agent's general knowledge.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a specific Lovable plan for this? The Model Match connector doesn't carry a plan restriction of its own — any workspace that can add a custom MCP connector in Lovable can add Model Match. You'll also need an active Model Match account, since the connector authenticates as you.
Is my data safe? What can Lovable actually see? Lovable connects using your own Model Match sign-in, and every tool call respects your existing workspace roles and permissions. It reaches the same records you'd see in Model Match — nothing more, and nothing a teammate hasn't separately connected with their own account.
Where do I paste the API key? There isn't one to paste. Leave Authentication set to OAuth — Model Match doesn't use a bearer token or API key, so Lovable negotiates the sign-in with Model Match directly and hands you an authorization prompt instead.
A teammate already connected Model Match — do I need to add it again? Yes. Chat connections in Lovable are per-user, so seeing Model Match under Used by others in this workspace doesn't give you access. Connect it with your own Model Match credentials, and the agent will pull data under your own permissions from then on.
Why does the agent say it can't find a loan officer I know is in Model Match? Check that you've completed the OAuth sign-in rather than just added the connector — an unauthorized connector shows up in the list but can't make tool calls. Reconnecting from Connectors → All resolves this in most cases.
Can I connect Model Match to Lovable and Claude or ChatGPT at the same time? Yes. One Model Match account can back connectors in several tools at once, each authenticating as you.
