Transferring ownership and deleting a workspace
Two actions sit apart from everything else because they change the workspace permanently: transferring ownership and deleting the workspace. Both are Owner-only. Not even an Admin can do them.
💡 These are the only two settings an Admin can't reach. They're reserved for the Owner because they affect the entire workspace and everyone in it.

Who can do this
⭐ Only the Owner can transfer ownership or delete the workspace. If you're an Admin and need one of these done, ask your workspace Owner. (Not sure who that is? Check the "Members" list for the Owner role.)
Transferring ownership
Transferring ownership hands the Owner role to another member, for example when you're leaving the company or handing off administration.
- As the Owner, let's open "Members" (or the workspace settings danger zone).
- Choose "Transfer ownership" and pick the member who'll become the new Owner.
- Confirm.
🧠 After the transfer, you're no longer the Owner. The new Owner has full control. You typically remain as an Admin unless they change your role.

Deleting a workspace
Deleting removes the workspace for everyone. To protect against mistakes, deletion is a confirmed, multi-step action rather than a single click:
- As the Owner, let's open the danger zone and request deletion.
- Confirm the request (you may be asked to verify by email).
🛑 Since a user can be assigned to multiple Workspaces deleting a Workspace does not affect any subscriptions created or managed through the Workspace.
🛑 Deleting a workspace is a permanent action. If a Workspace is deleted, you will need to create a new Workspace and invite any team member that was assigned to the previous Workspace. Proceed with extreme caution.

I'm an Admin. Why can't I delete the workspace? By design. Deletion and ownership transfer are Owner-only safeguards.
How do I find out who the Owner is? Open "Members" and look for the person with the Owner role.
If I transfer ownership, do I lose access? No. You typically stay on as an Admin. Only the Owner role moves to the new person.
I deleted the workspace by accident. Can I get it back? Yes, if you're within the recovery window. Cancel the deletion to restore it. Once the window closes, deletion is permanent.
What happens to members and data when a workspace is deleted? Everyone loses access and the workspace's data is removed once deletion finalizes. Recover within the window if it was a mistake.
